Rounding out the month
This week, we are preparing for our presentation for our MVP. We have had several meetings up to this point and we are all on the same page about the outcome we should have with the work we have done. We need to stay focused and bring out the best in each and every task we do so that we can prevent any hiccups with merging that should happen later on down the road this week.
This week, I have been tasked with creating the pet profiles page. I need to find a good example for me to base my code design off of. This is an example of a rendered pet profile page from the Petfinder website service.
The profile page is shown after I navigated to the Petfinder homepage, and I chose a featured pet. Once i clicked the image, I was sent to the chosen pets, pet profile page. There i saw an images reel that had clickable arrows to show a few pictures of the pet as well as more detailed information about the pet underneath the pictures. To the right of the pets detailed information, there is an adoption inquiry form. The form is bright, large and accessible. I am going to model my overall design with this example in mind, because it is a great example and seems simple and straight forward enough for the average person to use.
I had also taken it upon myself to do a little research on something that will eventually need to be handled within our application. We need to have our API token to the Petfinder API renewed every hour. I have searched for this topic and I am going to be using this website-
to help guide me through trying to figure this out. So far, i know that we use cURL to make API requests and the token generated must use the cmd terminal to request a new API token. I would need to append this somehow once the request is made and then update the cURL code with the new token and address.
